Sinulog

A major annual festival in Cebu, held every third Sunday of January to honor the Sto. Nino.

The Cebu Sinulog is a festival held annually in Cebu City, Philippines. It is a celebration of the Visayan people's acceptance of Christianity and lasts for nine days. The festival features a street parade, floats, dance performances, and a lot of bright, colorful costumes. There is also a fireworks display at the end of the festival. Participants of this festival celebrate while dancing ritual prayers to Santo NiƱo, whom they consider as the patron saint of Cebu.

The streets of Cebu City come alive with vibrant colors and lively music during the Cebu Sinulog festival. Participants of the festival wear brightly colored costumes and dance to the rhythm of the drums, while a procession of floats and street vendors selling local food and merchandise adds to the carnival-like atmosphere. The celebration culminates with a fireworks display, filling the night sky with color and light.
